I have never shown a tree so I have never had a reason to put together any accents. I do on the other hand have a bunch of tiny pots. I have no idea why I have little pots as I would never have a tree that small. I think I have received them as gifts from people I by trees from. Sometimes I by a tree and there is also a bonus gift in the box of a tiny pot. So I woke up this morning thinking why not. It's something to do today. I went to Home Depot and they had these little guys for about $2.00 a piece so in the basket and off I go. Finally a use for those darn little pots. image.jpg

We play with accents a LOT! They are fun and make use of those small pots. I have 13 alone that are 3 inches across. They help keep your hands busy while time takes its course on other plants and plans. No time wasted there and don't hesitate to mix 2,3,4 tiny plants in one pot :D

The one on the right looks like the space needle...

The tag said it was some kind of grafted cactus. My photo is bad, but the colors of the little guy are amazing. The pot is really neat as well. It's a stamped tokonome pot. It's got neat little designs on it. It was inside the box of a much larger tree I ordered.

Tiny?

Tiny is as tiny does.

I think that if you play with them a bit, and really look for some interesting small pots you will end up having a LOT of fun.

I've had trees in these, and here's a display I'm working on for a forthcoming event. The entire stand is 2 foot square.

Oh how I love those first two pots JKL. I would love to see a tiny cascade in that first one.

Here you go, Judy. A Cotoneaster dammeri. And then, a boxwood - B. mycrophylla.
