We did have a quick change in the weather - from hot and humid the past few weeks to fall-like weather. Could this account for the change in the leaf appearance? As I mentioned in a different thread, another plant did fall against the bonsai. I don't think it did any damage, but ever since it does seem like the bonsai is a bit looser in the soil. Could that account for the wilting? OR am I just not watering enough?

Any suggestions? Time for repotting perhaps or at least a root check?

Thanks,
Keith

Hard to say without a photo, but my fukien tea always has new growth get wilted when the soil gets really dry. In my experience, overwatering seems to result in yellowing & dropping of leaves.

Thanks for your reply....it looks better again, but does seem to be taking more frequent water...perhaps due to the sudden drop in the humidity here. Feels like fall the past several days. You're right about the overwatering. I am much more of a general houseplant than a 'bonsai nut' and so are well familiar with how too much water results in either root rot and/or leaf drop.
