How mine looked 3wks ago. The dog chomped one too many and I learned my lesson

It’s currently torn apart while I work on grading this area for drainage

Once that’s done, I’ll work on some proper benches and will update when that’s done. Hopefully I can start the benches soon

At least you learned after one dog chomping, It took me two rounds with different packs

I now have chain link fence guarding my trees.

Actually, it was after 4 times, lol

Got all the concrete forms moved from this area to 10’ to the right. Moved most of my material to this area and given a nice sprinkle

I may or may not set up the fencing again. Previous experience says I should... but I’m lazy

I got more dirt to move to finish grading aforementioned area, but prob just a wheelbarrow or two worth

Did mention the wife and kids that I stated to water the trees every day, even if it rains, this was in Florida.

Why do I need to water if it rains, you can’t make that up.

If it properly rains, I don’t water them. Sprinkles aren’t enough so I’ll water

When I lived in Florida it rained every day at 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the summer, note something just a short rain then the sun would come out and create a steam bath.

That’s one thing I don’t miss.

I enjoyed our monsoon season here. Was over 100 then clouds rolled in around 2 ish and we’d get some rain sometime later. Cooled down for the evening. I love the rain, but not the humidity that sometimes comes with it

Well the old man got life flighted from New Mexico here to uc Davis 2 days ago and is finally stabilized with a long rode to recovery. Had the family over at his place while we waited for him to get here and my niece wanted to help water. 😁

Temporary set up as I’m still house hunting. Here’s my garden guardian(6 y.o Lab, named Pete) , he keeps the squirrels and deer away. He also helps me conserve water , he knows to stay away from the trees but if water goes anywhere else, he’s jumping for it. (We just got back from a walk which I why his leash Is still on)

Was so great seeing so many BNuts out at the Nationals. I had a great time and happy I got to spend some time shootin' the breeze with some of you.

After so much excitement, I was happy to be back working in my quiet space. The garden now prepares itself to transition into fall. The chojubai (front center) it's shedding its leaves and flowering once again. Trees are just beginning to signal the new season as the sun sets lower and the light becomes dimmer.

Soon im moving things to back of garage breezeway, garage and inside. Kumquats growing and Ate 6 fresh figs recently. Limequat/ kumquats to kitchen lol but they're hardy for citrus
