My phone is getting repaired, so had to take pictures on a shitty old tablet.....thats my excuse anyway, i will post some better photo's another time, i was thinking turning this into a root over rock growing on a diagonal angle.
I'll be honest. I don't like the S shaped trunk and it looks like you backfilled the hole with mud which probably isn't going to do any favors for growing.
As for the soil, i just dug a hole in my yard and re-used the soil, i was planning on digging it up again at the start of spring and turning it into a root over rock style, so i can replace with some better soil then?
Not sure it's a good idea to go for a 2nd re-pot in such a short time...
I think junipers follow the '1 stress a year, no more' rule.
that was definitely a concern, so i may very well just leave it.
we are in autumn at the momentAlthough I didn't pay attention to the fact that you live in Australia and thus 'the spring' isn't next week like in IL
So I guess that depends on the time span between the 2 re-pot...
did you just create the shari/jin? If so, wire some movement into that Jin while there is still time.
May be a good idea to leave as is for now mate. There are plenty of backshoots getting light etc for now. Good work . You can take more later .One question i have. Should i trim the foliage back further towards the trunk? Or is it at a good length now?
