Never had experience with them but from what I have heard, I'm not missing much :)

Do you really think your signature adds anything to your participation on this forum?

Zelk,

My least favorite tree is the most recent one that died.

Seriously, seedling crabapples drive me nuts. I had some sprout in the lawn from the old landscape tree in the front yard. Dug them up and grew them out for a couple of years. All kinds of problems with powdery mildew. I purchased two from a "bonsai yard sale" my local club had about 8years ago. The one I kept is shaped ok, but has yet to bloom and is probably 12 years old. That is not making me any happier with seedling crabapples. Thankfully these lessons only cost me $2, and my time.

The Mary Potter crab apples I purchased from Evergreen Gardenworks, being cuttings, had niether problem.

Regards,
Martin
