Well, what''s in a name...
To me, a whole story : my current surname is different from the one I could have chosen when I turned 18. Easier for the locals to write and pronounce, thanks to my father who "simplfied" his name when he became French, at the age of 33.
My first name, Alain, is so common for people my generation that... 5 of the 25 members in our club bear the same first name ! Hence, Alain K. (not Alain D., like Alain Delon). Patrick, Michel and Philippe were much more common in the mid-50s. I've know at least five people called "Michel Morin", and my boss is "Michèle Martin", "Martin" being the most common name in mainland France, even if she's from the Antilles
I called my sons Victor (Yves-Henri) and Noé (Marius, Stanislas).
What's in a name ?
What the ones who gave you this name had in mind ?
What's in a name ? It's what you make of it if you're in a capitalist, bhuddist, etc. kind of trip, whatever. Or just the sound of your name when the ones who love you call for you ?
Call me
Jim.
The Breeze.
Anyway, hope you get my name
