Long before I was born, my mother had planned to name me Joshua, but didn't tell anyone. Then her sister-in-law had a baby and named him Joshua! My mom had to change her plans and named me Zachary instead.

The interesting thing is that throughout my entire life,whenever someone forgets my name and tries to guess what it is, they ALWAYS call me Josh. People from completely different areas who have absolutely no connection to each other than that they know me as a common acquaintance... always call me by the same wrong name. Its very wierd. No one ever guesses it's Mike or Ted or anything else . Just always Josh ...

I ought to ask my cousin if anyone ever mistakenly calls him Zach.?

Decades ago I decided to always use my real name (or a version of it) on the internet. It reminds me to never post anything I would not say to a person's face. Of course with the vast secret cabal of Michaels, I still have a measure of anonymity.
