Tiger eyes Sumac. Rhus typhina Bailtiger. What do you think. Grow it out in the ground for awhile or go ahead and pot it?20160407_164006.jpg

As always with bonsai, the answer is, what do you want from this tree? Is it attractive to you now, or would you like to see it more bulky?

When I get new trees I like to get two, one to grow out and the other to pot up and see how it reacts to bomsai techniques.

I actually like where it is heading now. I would to see the rest of the nebari before I decide what to do with. I am kinda leaning toward a light root trim and repot then pruning after it flowers. @

Yes I saw that thank you I am considering rotating the trunk 90 degrees and going for a cascading style

By the time it's believable.....
You will need to keep it on a 10ft shelf...!

I'd cut that left and rear shoots off and let it ride this year!

There is a quite striking literati that was(possibly)posted as being by Master Kimura. Eventually plan to have one in my collection as well;).

Would you repot or plant it in the ground?

Just picked one of those up for my yard. Didn't know it was possible bonsai material. Also got a walking stick on the other side. Good luck
