The tree in #355 has this sign today, 6 days from the pruning date. This is a new sign. Some of the leaves in the lower branches have light brownish dry atrophic areas liked bands or irregular shapes. It is scattered.
This is a quiz 😊 but I will not give further information to assist you in making diagnosis except if you ask me what other facts are to help you recognize the problem. I think it is fair, isn’t it? 😊

This is the sort of colour you would expect from a sunburn. As you remove foliage which would normally shade the lower part of the pant, that part gets burnt once exposed to direct sun

After pruned the Spring shoots back to 2-3 leaves depending on the areas and wires a few small branches in the lower part

This one was pruned this morning.
Before. It has a lot long Spring shoots

The pomegranate has this characteristic: it sends out a lot of secondary branches from the central to distal thirds of the Spring shoot. To me, these are useless for design!

Because of that, I cut all the Spring shoots back to 2-3 leaves ( in the red circle )

After pruning. I always left 1 cm stump distal to the leaves to avoid die back

The tree was partially pruned back

I think that this one is my favorite, it has such presence. The flowers are wonderful this year, are there different types? Seems like the one above this one has double blooms, but this seems like single. I love the tubular quality of the blooms before opening.

Thanks Judy.
The Revered Teacher is fruit type ( it is a twisted trunk one), that is why it has single layer flower. The other one is flowering type pomegranate, it is why it has multi-layer flower.
Hihi, I love both flower bud and flower.

The difference between the flowers of flower and fruit pomegranate types are
1- size. The flower type is much bigger
2- layer number. The flower type has multi-layer

The fruit type is on the left and flower one is on the right .

This tree surprises for its yearly fruit given type. The pomegranate is rarely to have flowers or fruit in the first year post -cutting! This particular one was a big cutting 4 years ago and it started giving the fruit in the 1st year.

It is yellow fruit type with pink flower.
I did some carving on it in last winter and transplanted it to current plastic pot in February 2020

That Is a nice color flower, if you strike any cuttings from it I would take a couple from you.
The large cutting you sold me a few years ago is doing well, I might put it in a pot next year if I can find one large enough at a decent price....

Let me see if I can make some cuttings for you.
It is really good to know that tree is doing well. You may try this store which is in Industrial City. I bought few pots from them with very good price .

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
You are welcome. According to the owner, a lot of US dealers bought the items there to resale.
