I don't recall it.

They certainly propagate super easy, I've stuck suckers I cut off in the pot and they rooted, I've stuck hardwood winter pruning cuttings in a pot and they rooted, so getting common material for a forest should be easy

It may not matter whether I cut off half the tree or not.
It will likely throw new shoots from all over, totally changing its appearance.
