Early this soring i was doing tree removal at a property and I caught a glimpse of this wisteria that was over taking an entire tree..I cut it from its main vine heading up the tree..it would not budge out of the ground and i had work to do so i let it go..we did followup work on property few weeks ago and I revisited the attempt..where i had cut forced the new growth you see,as it was bare down by the base and all foliage was up in tree..okay that was promising and inspired me to try digging it back up..the ground was so rooty it was a bear of a task...i hooked the dingo up to it (front end loader with tracks) put a strap around it nice and low and ganked it out of the ground...it basically snapped from its root system so I was like oh jeez...but remembered its wisteria and incredibly resilient...potted it in a primarily sphagnum and fullers earth mix and its still alive..looking forward to its future

A little foliage at ends was tattered so I pruned it back slightly and wrapped it around its own trunk

It was more appealing with the fuller growth and I probably could have let it grow wild til next year and then decided to cut back...but there where caterpillar chomps or something out of bunch a leaves on the ends so i ended up snipping back...looking in pic at this momeny I'm like damn that thing is ugly right now lol but thats how it is sometime

Really dont know if i should be wrapping it around itself either...i just knoe hoe they can cling to stuff and figured may be cool way to hold those long skinny vines up as well...seems like it would be a longgg time before it had real ramification, should I be cutting it back and leaving little 2 inch shoots of the vine stem?
