but.. but.. these leavs are small? about an inch?

I think there was a bit of confusion : when I said that the leaves don't reduce well, I was thinking of Prunus 'Accolade'.

When 'Kojo no mai' was mentioned, I realized and wrote "Oh, that one..."

So, yes the leaves of 'Kojo no mai' are much smaller, and they can make very fine bonsai.

I transplanted this big bougainvillea this morning. I had to use Hoyer lift and hydraulic cart to remove it out of plastic pot .

So is the back part of the trunk with the hole dead? I have a bougie that I know part of the trunk is dead, but the rest of the tree is growing fine.

No, it is alive. And the weird thing is that right in a cave, there are some roots emerging from the wall !

I started working on this crepe myrtle this morning. The current top is a little tall, I want to bring it down a little to make the tree looked older.!
Before

The right side of the tree was done. The branches were pruned back, and pulled down by wires.

I rarely wire the non -conifer trees . Mostly use pull technique. I use copper wire and medical rated tube to protect the living parts where the wires resting

2 top branches were wired instead of being pulled. The reason is that they went straight up and there is no way to pull them out.
