Namnhi willow leaf ficus

I figure I should have a thread to keep track of these. All of them are started from a $18 dollars I bought at JRN2 nursery about 20 years ago. Will post on the detail of each tree later.
I trimmed them back today to get some cuttings for our fellow @Srt8madness after his didn't make it past winter. Would have made boat load of cuttings if i have a nursery... but i choose to only make 2 trays.

26 potted. Didn't have to work as hard as the first batch.

Just an observation... the root cutting still show very little activity. I only noticed 2 out of probably 20 have little buds. All the ones that has trunk part has been budding for more than a week already. The second batch already budded strongly. The cuttings are also in leaves. It is safe to say that the root part doesn't have the same genetic to throw out leaf as quickly as trunk part. This probably is obvious to most here but I just learnt that.

I have seen it take months for salicaria root cuttings to produce leaves. I think the longest I have seen it take is about 6 months. It is definitely an exercise in patience!

I'm about 1 month in with no action. I saw green recently when I scratched off the outer bark, so yeah one of these days...

I’ve had zero luck getting a single root cutting to take… no idea why. I’ve given them a looong time also.

After 7 weeks and a dip in some root hormone, I have green appearing on my WLF root cutting. Wishing luck and photosynthesis to all yours!

Just a quick update on these... growing nicely. I finally move them out to a more sunny spot. The root cuttings start showing sign of life. A few look to be dead.

I was hoping to be able to sell some of these at some point to support the hobby. These will start out at $20 apiece. After this week I will be adding $5 more as I have to move them into the garage and move them out in another 3 days due to the cold weather. Let's see how much the final price will be once I can actually sell.
$25 apiece after this week.

About 10% in the 4" pot didn't make it. The weird thing was these grow well for a long while before wilt and died for no particular reason. Am not sure why but the batch I did for @Srt8madness not a single one survived. Not to worry... i have others as you can see.
