Here are a few more:

First photo is a group planting of juniper in the North American collection

Second is the cryptomeria walk that leads into the exhibit

Third is a photo of the U.S. Capitol columns--long story short, they found these original columns from the Capitol building in a local junkyard a few decades ago. Decided they should probably be somewhere else and put them on the hill at the arb. Interesting exhibit...

Fourth is one of the handles on the entrance door to the Chinese pavillion.

A few more photos from the PBA show weekend at the National Arb.

First photo is of a collected cedar elm raft and crape myrtle in the North America exhibit

Second is of the entrance display -- through which many trees from the collection are rotated weekly. The middle tree is a European Hornbeam donated by Chase Rosade. I don't remember what the two trees on the sides are though.

Third photos is the winner of the PBA juried show-Chase Rosade was this year's judge. First place winner is a white pine. Second place is an Ezo spruce -- which is very uncommon in the U.S.

Was the left tree the nepalese firethorn, and the right a japanese maple? I have close-ups at home of both trees, but I'd have to double check to be sure.
