Hi B'Nuts got this email today, and thought I should post it so we can try to help. The National Bonsai Federation is looking for help ( sign petition, and send your reps a note) to help stave off a huge budget cut, that threatens to shutter the bonsai exhibit at the national arboretum. Please see the following and sign the petition and give your Congressman, and senator a shout.
Thanks
Bill
Hi all,
As a follow-up the the letter from Felix Laughlin concerning the severe budget cuts facing the National Arboretum and the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum, please go to the National Bonsai Foundation site to read further information and to sign an online petition.
Here’s the link:
https://www.bonsai-nbf.org/site/whats_new.html
Once you click on the “Sign petition” button, your vote is recorded. On the following page, you will be asked if you want to donate to “iPetitions” which has nothing to do with the Arboretum, so you do not have to contribute.
Again I urge you to contact the Chairs of the Senate and House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittees as well as your local US Congressman and bring this matter to their attention.
Thank you!
Jim
Thanks
Bill
