The National Bonsai and Penjing Museum is looking for a bonsai apprentice for 2026. Applications are due by November 1. It's a paying position. You won't make a fortune in cash, but former apprentices have gone on to become curators at other bonsai collections. You'll be working on dozens of species from conifers to tropicals and some of the best examples of bonsai in the U.S. You will learn with some of the best.
