bonsai barry
Omono
There have been a number of posts regarding this national treasure, but having dreamed of visiting since I first became interested in bonsai, I can't help but want to post more photos of my time there. I guess it is kind of like looking at any great piece of art, it demands more than one viewing.
For those that have never been, the museum is located in the National Arboritum. If you take public transportation, you can get there from the National Mall in about thirty or forty minutes using the metro and the local bus system.
I hope to post photos over the next couple of days. I thought I would start with an overall view of the museum. It has three major parts: Chinese, Japanese and American Pavillions. These are photos of the entrance to the museum and the large courtyard.
