Was walking through the woods today, and there is a grove of Shagbark Hickory, that I always love to see. Thought I'd share the (poor) images. (It was drizzling) Also a really interesting tree with a huuuuge bole, and some awesome reverse taper!

There were a lot of hickory on the farm where I grew up. I can remember my Dad sawing off branches when he need some particulaly tough wood for some repair. I have not seen one in years. Thank you so much.
