Who has been? What can I expect, do they have a good variety of material available?

I'll be in Harrisburg in a few weeks to pick up my spray truck and thought I'd pop in for a visit, possibly pick up a tree while I'm there.

I have been twice. They have excellent material and an especially great selection of coniferous material.

Agree completely. it's a must-see. A lot of good trees around, also Jim Doyle, the owner has quite an eye for bonsai pots.

I got a very nice little drum pot made by Don Gould from Nature's Way this past Christmas. Jim has a roomful of really nice containers and other stuff. Don't miss that.IMG_1244.jpg

They’ve just received a half semi truck load of yamadori from Randy Knight. It seems like a good place to shop :)

I'm planning on stopping in this summer. I'm taking the family on a trip to Hershey park. I hope I'll have a few hours to sneak away.

I see they still have trees marked as Sold mixed in with the trees that are for sale. I visited there a few years ago and that was the one thing that really disappointed me. Every time I found something I liked it was marked SOLD. I had two grand cash in my pocket and my son had a grand; I ended up leaving with a $150 tree. So, I drove down to Plant City and we both spent most of what we had left. Nothing against Jim (he wasn't even there) but boy was I frustrated.

The guy there told me that the ones they got in the past year they keep for a year after they are sold. But I agree, they should separate them at least.

Toss the sold sign.
Are they going to remember every tree that's sold without the sign?

I forgot to mention all the trees marked NFS as well. Move all the sold and NFS trees off to one side of the bench so customers actually can see what's for sale without trying to pick through all the ones that aren't. After driving over 1,100 miles you're standing in front of a bench that has 40 trees on it and only 10 are for sale but they're all mixed in with the 40. Then you move to another bench and it's the same thing. I'm over it but it sure was frustrating at the time.

Yeah. They need a sold section.
And why have trees that aren't for sale there at all?
