Need help with tree ID please

Hi Can anyone please help me ID this tree? I think its a Japanese Elm Zelkova Serrata. Any help much appreciated

It looks like a rose bush. There appears to be compound leaves and thorns.
I’m more of a tree-guy, but my wife likes roses and hers look like that.

Thanks everyone- It shot up in pot out of nowhere where other elms were growing nearby- but there was also a rose bush growing there too, so could be a rose I spose.

Thanks everyone- It shot up in pot out of nowhere where other elms were growing nearby- but there was also a rose bush growing there too, so could be a rose I spose.
The green branches are what give it away as not being an elm.
