It is a wonderful thin daiza, but it has losses on the ends, and I do not see anyone in the US or in Japan displaying stones on broken daiza, plus the type of wood is unknown, so the daiza is not for sale. The listing clearly states the daiza is not included. Initially, I didn’t even realize there was a daiza for the stone since it was in a mixed lot. This Chrysanthemum stone all by itself, is rare and wonderful enough, that it would be the pleasure of the new owner to have a new daiza made for it, thereby creating their own Suiseki, with their own artistic vision.
There are several well regarded Daiza makers that can be found on the internet that can make a beautiful daiza in whatever color or style completes the new owner’s vision for the stone. ( Custom daiza are not very expensive considering the work involved). Enthusiasts order, or make, daiza all of the time for stones they find, to form and complete the suiseki artwork.
