So i guess i got lucky this time - if trees will survive :)

Anyway, i think it was about 1-2 weeks ago, i wake up by digger noise, so looked through the window - the guys across the street are doing new front driveway.
I was in shoes in 10 secs :) ran across and had a chat, they were nice guys, i asked if i can bring shovel and dig up some of the plants, they said they are in rush but they will save whatever they can. So 2h later i had wheel barrel full of trees, some were so big i couldn't carry them myself.

It was a bit late i guess, most of them started to leafing out and leafs were clearly visible but i hope they will make it.
I got nice maple and another huge massive monster that i managed to split in 3 plants.
Here are some photos, i didnt manage to take a lot of them as i finished when it was dark, just didn't have time.
In the big clump there was a maple tree between the other trunks with roots grown in between the others, i had to chop it but hop it will survive.(no photo of that)

Now, 2 weeks after,
The maple is still leafing out but leaves are getting soft and black on the edges, there is still more buds to get opened - i guess its still growing more roots
The Clump is leafing out new healthy leafs so i guess it might survive, all old leafs dried out and died, the other plant that i separated looks healthy and gets new leafs as well, the 3rd plant looks dead for the moment :)

I also got couple of rose bushes and some hydrangeas with nice trunks but i think they will not make it, already had a leafs on them, quite big, now they are all brown and dried but steams are still green so there is a hope......anyway they are in the corner, hopefully they will recover.

BTW i dont know spieces name so if anyone know what the Clump is please let me know.

Nice move and quick thinking. I had a moment of humor as I visualized you out there chatting with the driveway crew wearing a pair a fuzzy bunny slippers because you were in such a hurry.

Roses are tough. Even though they have lost leaves they will probably start growing again. Hydrangea too. A stick planted in the ground without roots will usually grow roots and start a new plant.
The clump is familiar but I can't put a name on it at the moment.
There are many maples with similar leaves. Canadian maple - A. rubrum is used a lot in landscaping and those new leaves look possible. Better chance to ID both when the leaves open up properly.
