My pots are getting more exotic. 40 year old azeala I dug up and planted in a light fixture globe. 90466E88-1194-413F-886F-B3DF6C1A559C.jpeg90466E88-1194-413F-886F-B3DF6C1A559C.jpeg10AB5F29-81ED-4D37-825E-6581EF6198E9.jpegC13E5C58-0806-4786-BFF1-4B98E70479CE.jpeg

Is that glass? Let me know how it is going when that thing rolls right off of there onto the ground and ends up a million pieces. Lol

it was only on the ledge for a pic. It’s flat on the ground now. ;)

Weeble-Wobble, rolly polly. Need to set that on a ring of cork, or wood, or a rubber gasket to keep it stable. Some sort of pad.

I like the azalea a lot. The globe is artsy, but not sure how practical it is. Is the tree wired firmly into the globe?. If not, normal knocking around, wind and random accidents could uproot the azalea, delaying root development. Jostle too often and tree could go into terminal decline. Just a caution.

I’m going to cut one of the limbs off this time next year. One is a sacrificial limb!

I’ll probably cut the left one off but I don’t have tools to cut it off right now and it’s still got some foliage so I’ll tell everyone it’s to help it grow. :) 663DFB27-B23D-4D39-B5DF-050500F1751C.jpeg

Give both branches time, see how much they back bud. I would be tempted to keep them both. But I need to see them in person to really judge. I don't like offering styling suggestions from photos, because I know photos can be misleading. So grow it out for another year before deciding.
