Having killed my very first bonsai within a week (due to a number of factors), I decided to get a couple more and they just arrived today. Now I am pretty leery to do anything because I don't want to stress it out, but this tree is much more developed than the first one I had so I am optimistic.

Can I prune or wire this guy yet? I ordered it online from a nursery in my state and it was less than a day from door to door but I'm sure it was still stressful on the plant. If not, how long would it be a good idea to let it get settled in?

I also have a pre-bonsai nana juniper that is in the same boat- just arrived, definitely could use a good pruning.

Thanks for all the help!

This is still several years from any bonsai work. Just keep it healthy and let it grow.
