New diaza

Thought I would share one of my viewing stones with you.



The stone I collected on a trip to Northern California several years ago.

The diaza was carved by the Daiza Diva (Kathi Maisano) and delivered to me at the Kawa Joy of Bonsai this past weekend.

Kathi specializes in making daiza for uncut stones and this stone was a real challenge.

I was quite happy with the results myself.

Kathi and I had a brief discussion about this stone over dinner last year and this is the composition that resulted. I feel she did a good job interpreting my ideas and designed a very complimentary diaza.
