New itoigawa arrived this morning. Love it. Has juvenile foliage but the shape is looking good. Don't intent to do anything for a while yet. Just let it get on with it?

There may be a pocket branch 3rd up? If true may make a decent Jin, with Shari line down and around the trunk from there.

Recommend paying attention to maintaining taper of the branches as the tree progress. Junipers can create boxy branching if this factor is not attended to over time. Last year we had to push back a Shimpaku as its branches began to look like same diameter tubes.
