I am located in Miami. I bought this juniper fairly cheap at a local nursery. I will continue to do independent research but would like suggestions from those with experience on what should be done with this tree. I would like to shorten it but I understand removing too much will kill juniper. I also don’t know the species.

I believe the trunk may be 3-4 inches but the soil is too dense to get to the base without digging up roots. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't seem there is much interest to "smallen" this too....

While, you can create a lot of interest if you utilize all those "trunks".

If you haven't, take that Colin Lewis wiring joint, get some good wire......

Use everything and whip it up it a "tree"...

It really is the best way to get light in where you need buds ..and keep it full enough to actually make those closer buds it seems you kinda need.

Looks like a fun bit!

Take the height down maybe 1/2 or 1/3?

Then see what you can work with from there?
