I'm finally firing my new kiln, just a bisque fire this weekend. It took about 6 months from order to install. The hardest part was fork-lifting it through my backyard.

It's 38x32x40" inside, downdraft with 1" gas line.

Looks awesome, you must be very pleased. Lots of room, but you seem to have had no trouble filling it right away.

What a fabulous kiln. I have delivered and set up kilns like this but will never have the time or money to do it myself. Setting these up is a lot of work.
Your old Olympic kiln there was set up for doing Raku. They still make that kiln. Olympic kilns are excellent. My smaller high fire electric kiln gets a lot of use.
BTW, your pots are gorgeous. I wish you a happy firing.

Took her up to cone 10 today and only lost one set of eyebrows. The reduction smell from the downdraft is different from updraft reduction smell and it was nostalgic for some reason. It gave me de ja vu but maybe it was just the copper fumes.
