I found this Lions Head at a local nursery that looked great for bonsai. Seemed to be cared for very well and it's about 2 feet tall.

As it stands I dont feel like there is much to do to shape this one besides transferring it to a small pot. Any other ideas for this???

Air layer some parts that you find interesting to get the graft out of the picture. That’s what I’m doing with my lions head. I took a part off where the is a side shoot to one day have a mother daughter tree.

The graft, straight trunk, and awkward first spilt will make some long-term problems for good design (red X). However, like @Tbwilson33 stated, it has a couple spots that would make good Bonsai. I’d make layers at the blue boxes and get a couple better trunks going from the layers.
