New Nursery Stock Dawn Redwood!

Just picked up this nursery stock Dawn Redwood!

I plan on switching it over to the far more durable and better draining pot on the left (same size pot the current one just sucks), wiring it down and leaving until next spring!

Then I'll start air layering!

The new pot looks to be the same size, so shouldn't be too disruptive. Why not start layering now?

It's got it's original intact / actively growing main / lead trunk branch. I want to let everything continue to just before freely.

I'm in no rush to do anything to it. Might be nice to get the whole trunk a bit thicker as well.
