Git this new pine pinus nigra, while not the best base i wanted a slender tall looking tree to play with pads.
Not decided on front so please tell which one u like more.

Current front, not to happy with crossing branches which I believe I should be able to remove gradually

Front right
Loving this as front as it hides the roots issue and offers good trunk movement and pads placement

Other sides have the trunk and apex moving to the back and bad pads visibility or positions

Couple issues i need to work out also are the way previous owner made the pads, as he smashed bottom.and top branches to form the pads. There's many of those and wondering if I should remove all in one go or do it Froghall to not affect the tree especially as I plan to.repot on jan/Feb in bonsai soil and maybe a bit larger and darker color pot

Another issue is branches at same level. First side and back branches which I doubt can be removed are at same level and already causing a bulge. And have 3 branches emerging at same level near apex which aren't yet causing a bulge, how would u handle those

Thanks for any advice in how to take this tree forward

Personally when having bar or multiple whorl branches assess branches above/below on trunk or before/after on branch then choose best one for overall distribution. Sometimes make decision based partly on which has best secondary branching, if any present. Perhaps remove only one lower branch chosen now keeping main needle mass for recovery after repotting. After repot late Winter give tree growing season to recover and if recovers well do other selective pruning after harden off or late summer. Tree looks good and healthy.
