New pot for Ginkgo

My ginkgo is waking up over 1 month ahead of schedule... repot time!

The new pot is Japanese, but unstamped. 20-30 years old with a nice patina developing, and very well made. Its weight is surprising.

I liked the old pot too, but was getting bored. Can't wait to see how this one looks in the fall!

Hi, how long do you leave the wires? have you had any issue with wiring? Any updates?

Why is that wire on it? It seems too thin be of any use.

Both pots OK, reverse taper not so much

I don't mind a bit of reverse taper of this tree with those branches, is good actually!

I read they do better in deep pots like the first one.
