It's pulling the trunk in tight to the pot. The seedling did have wire on it this spring but it was removed a month ago and the cascade portion was starting to move up again. The tubing is the "redneck" part of the equation. What is the pvc tube for?
Dude, I have the hands of a surgeon...seriously. Easy peasy...That will be fun to repot!
Ohhhhh. That's a receptacle for the powdered plantone fert I apply. It keeps the stuff from clogging the soil up...thanks @markyscott!No, I mean the pipe inside the pot?

...and it's in Turface and bark, so you know the roots will totally suck.
Ah! That explains the tall pot! Ya gotta get rid of that stuff somehow!...and it's in Turface and bark, so you know the roots will totally suck.
So there is a screen at the bottom of the tube, I'm guessing? Does it disperse into the soil in one watering?Ohhhhh. That's a receptacle for the powdered plantone fert I apply. It keeps the stuff from clogging the soil up...thanks @markyscott!
No, the fert is in direct contact with the soil, but only get's into the top 1/2" inch of the soil directly under the tube.So there is a screen at the bottom of the tube, I'm guessing? Does it disperse into the soil in one watering?
I'll tell you the next time I re-pot.Ok, thanks, that sounds interesting, does it then spread out thru the rest of the soil? Sorry for the 20 questions..
