I got this small Azalea a couple weeks ago and styled it over the weekend. The top thick branch near the apex that extends right will eventually be removed. I'm waiting for new buds to grow at it's base to create a new thinner branch (see last pic for virt). The backside is lacking at the moment so I'm waiting for new buds to grow there to fill out it out.

Let me know what you guys think!

I'd remove the crossing root though. Should improve the nebari more.

The crossing root appears to be fused with the other roots, so I'm not sure if that can be fixed?

Any comments on the general styling? Thanks!

It looks good. Can you turn the pot slightly to the left or clockwise a little bit and post a pic. I would like to see how the nebari and the structure looks with a slight turn.

You'd be money ahead if you exposed the cambium around the inside of the hole and pack it with some sphagnum moss until it closes.
