In case people missed it, the new site now supports much higher quality avatars - up to 400 x 400 pixels. If you haven't done so, you might want to update/upgrade your avatars to get a nicer/cleaner image.

Hey @Bonsai Nut, there are some interesting avatars that I'd like to see in better detail (I insulted @wireme once by thinking his avatar was an old boot).
Since we have a higher resolution now, any chance you can add a feature to view the avatar better, or will the larger pixel size allow that on its own?
BTW, your's is still at 96x96

The avatar image is displayed at different resolutions depending where you see it on the site, and what hardware you are using to view the site. On forums and threads it is displayed in small size, and on cell phones it is really small. You will see it in its largest size on your personal profile page on a PC.

For example, double-click my avatar and you will be taken to my profile page where you will see it in a larger size.

I thought it was funny, not in the least insulted I promise. It does look like a boot.

Trying to figure out how to save a GIF...so I can add one to my avatar. So far...no luck.
@Cadillactaste Not sure I understand the question. Are you trying to "make" a gif? (You can make them in Photoshop). Or are you trying to take a gif that you already have, and load it into the site?
