I think it's called buxus microphylla 'aureus' aka golden kingsville boxwood

not sure. We did have a rough winter but all my trees made it ok. I did repot this year sometime in March. Weather was perfect, no frost/freeze, just a typical northwest spring. But it never formed new buds and just started to dry out. I have another boxwood that's even bigger and that one is doing fine.

Thats really too bad. I don't see too many boxwoods that catch my eye like this one. Oh well, not much you can do, sometimes they just up and die for no apparent reason. Weve had about the same winter temperatures for the last 3 years but for some reason my wisteria just died on me this year, sucks. Atleast you have other boxwoods that are doing well and sometimes death is a blessing because it means there is now room for one more tree in your collection :)
