OK. I've pulled out the center of a few larger yellow circles and replaced them with perfectly green healthy moss to see what happens.
I'm hoping for more information to help me figure this out.
In the meantime, I've stopped worrying it's going to take over my entire yard. It doesn't seem to be spreading in a wave pattern. It seems to be spotty and in one area of the yard... close to and around a stump the bears have almost completely destroyed while looking for tasty treats.
About it smelling like pee..... we'd had tons of rain before I started this thread. Days and days and days, which should have helped if it was pee.
WIll research the charcoal powder.
There's no bear poop in the area, which I've had in another location..... all bear poop, zero yellow circles in a frequently traveled bear path, so I'm still up in the air about what this is.
