New tree

Got a new pine in the summer. First cascade…very happy with the young plant. Maybe five years and I can say it’s something more than interesting I’m really diggin it though. Just thought I’d share.

Wirehair actually and yeah when they aren’t hunting they get into mischief

Pretty good movement added so far. One suggestion to bend straight section just below pot rim.

Wire came off. Slipped into nicer pot last month.

Appears as if you lost a lot of movement the wire put in. Will you rewire soon?

Late summer/fall maybe just gonna let it grow. Wire was biting in already after six or seven months.

At this young age basic structural wiring can be done any time. At least personally. Straight sections of trunk better off bent before Spring growth as trunk gets stiffer(personal bad experience)once growth happens. From side(front of tree?)all also straight needs 3 dimensional bends but avoid leaving any straight sections. Some good bite in from wire shows wire has done job(at least mostly)can come off. Personally would leave on one whole year.
