I had this stool in my classroom. Thought I might put it to better use.

Couple of 18 inch rounds from HD($14). 300 pound rated lazy susan ring from Amazon ($15) And some Sedona Red stain and boom "Bobs Your Uncle" one decent adjustable stand.

Resisting the urge to tease you with the pouf turn table.o_O:);)
Nicely done, by the way.

Has this got some sort of brake? Nothing worse than trying to prune or wire while the tree tries to turn around the other side. Brake on any work turntable is essential IMHO

T-316 Stainless is one of the few stainless steels that is totally non magnetic. It is also quite expensive and cannot be tempered. I am guessing the stainless tools we are getting from China and Korea are a 400 series stainless. Most of these types of stainless are highly magnetic and will get surface rust occasionally.

I think it's great, I hope to duplicate the thing myself. I have a commercial turntable that was dropped and broken a number of years ago and no longer locks up without shoving something under it. It's great for table top jobs but a stand alone effort is another issue.

It looks great!
I took the same lazy susan approach and a round pine plank to make mine, I have posted it here:
