I’m attaching a photo of a bonsai that I grew from a seed last year. I’m totally new to bonsai, and this was given to me as a gift. I think I was told it was some variety of a cherry tree, but is that right? I love how it’s grown, but I want some advice on (1) what kind of tree is it? And (2) what do I need to do to start shaping it and when?
