Newer to Pine and Just Wanted to Check

I just wanted to make sure this wasn't a fungal or pest problem and just sap. I'm still fairly new to pines so wanna be sure.

Waxy buds look Mugo to me. However I know little about pines. 🤣 That is the only pine I know it is not and that's only because I have a mugo already and it looks a lot different. Haha

The consensus was most people thinking it to be JRP, but not 100%.

They’re very under appreciated in the US compared to JBP, but they’re my favorite pine.

I'm pretty happy with it! My long term goal is increase trunk girth another 1-2" in a grow box and then work on ramification.

I WOULD GUESS THAT SOMEONE ONLY WANTED 2 BUDS ON THE END OF THE ONE BRANCH AND NIPPED THE CENTER BUD, AND ON THE OTHER BRANCH ONLY WANTED A BUD ON THE ONE SIDE, SO NIPPED THE OTHER ONE.
