I was looking for Maples a few months ago and found this site.

http://www.essenceofthetree.com/

I requested a catalog and have received 2 so far, some beautiful trees! They have some bonsai stock and many very unique trees. They are really out of my budget but thought others may be interested. Seem like nice family owned business that are out to Please customers. Did not know how to add the site to the Sites Links so I put it here.

Take a look

I think I read that's the current incarnation of mountain maples.

You should check out evergreengardenworks.com -- they have a great variety and are very fairly priced.

I bought an arakawa maple seedling from Mountain Maples about 15 years ago. I planted it out in the ground. It is now 12 feet tall and has a seven inch trunk. It was grafted low especially for bonsai use and the graft is hardly noticeable now.

I do think this company is the latest version of Mountain Maples and could be selling the same stock they did a few years ago.
