Norway Maple Yardadori

Seeking suggestions for my Norway Maple “foot” Yardadori. Zone 6b. Collected late summer 2020 clearing out the side yard. Should I wire these down or just let it grow? What do I do with the multiple buds coming off the stump and new branches. Future plan is to carve/hollow out the stump area where the bark is missing. Thank you.

Personally I would let him grow and make plans next year

Agreed, letting him grow for sure. The carving won’t happen for a few years. Wiring or not wiring is the question. My inclination now is if I do wire the branches down, i’ll wait til they harden off in summer. Or just leave them be
