Opened the shade this morning and looked out at what looked like our second ice storm this winter. My tall, graceful birch melted last week before high winds arrived, luckily, and looking at this, I thought to myself... what are the odds of not having damage two times in a row? When I looked out another window I could see there was no ice on the sidewalks, and on the shrubs it was just jagged crystals of ice! Well, I guess I can be lucky twice!2019_0103HoareFrost0219190006.JPG

Happened here a ways back in 09’. 17 days w/o work, heat or electrical services. Ruined my life for some time enough I pretty much quit bonsai until this winter and my new vehicle at the time slid backwards down a long road before being hit head on by another driver who couldn’t stop. I literally jumped from the drivers seat with not a second to spare lol.

I guess this is the only national emergency I have had to endure so far.
