I have 15 of these from cuttings last year. They grow pretty well. Some spider mites on them, I think. ~20cm plants
Bushy, dense habit. If I had larger somewhat finished trees of other species, I think a few of these might make for good shrubs in a penjing style, being kept small.
I cant decide if I like this variety yet, especially for making into bonsai
Will the twiggery and bark make it worthwhile? No idea
How do you like this variety of elm?

I like JHE. Interesting cultivar history. Here's mine in not the right pot and still in development. Branches can break easy and seems to really love the water. Tough trees but Japanese beetles love them too. I believe Walter Pall has an amazing tree of the JHE.
