Not sure if this Elm is worth the time

I collected this last year and it has been in sand for the last year. It put out a ton of leaves so I think it has almost no roots as you can see in the first pic, but not sure if I should wait another year or not to lift it. I'm pretty sure it needs to be tossed/sold or carved up a lot!

What do you guys think.

Again, it's too soon to tell much of what needs to be done here. A year is nowhere near long enough for a newly potted tree to get a head of growing steam together.

This elm looks to be just getting over the repotting. I'd let it alone for another year--at least--allowing it some uninhibited growing time between now and then.
