Not sure what this is.

Hey guys I dug up this tree early spring. At first I thought it was Douglas Fir but now I'm not sure.
The needles are soft and pretty small. It seems to have recovered well, anyways please help with ID.

maybe a sub-species? looks very similar to it and its a very nice looking tree too!

Looks like Spruce. Engelman maybe?

Pretty sure it is Doug fir, not the easiest pic to tell from, 80% sure.

Don't rule out the possibility of a Hemlock. Though I favor the Doug Fit. If the needles are soft it is not likely Spruce.

Doug fir at a similar stage, weak tree, way behind the rest of mine. White spruce, recently collected, just flushing.

The bark is sort of a silver color similar to most young Douglas fir.

the needles on spruce and fir are different, look up the differences and you'll be able to tell

You left the Douglas Fir out of the mix, You need to compare all three; maybe four if lump in Hemlock, another possibility look at how the needles join the branch, all of the options are different.
