Not your typical bonsai... maybe not even bonsai

Last winter, motivated by sheer boredom I put these two old geraniums into pots and trimmed them up. They were my grandparents and must be at least thirty years old. The wood in the stems is so rotten it has difficulty supporting the leaves, neverthless it lives. Can't kill a geranium.

They make me grin. I can smell them now. I never would have thought I'd see this. And yes, you cant kill a geranium.

I think it's lovely.... sure looks like bonsai to me...

You're not alone, although you do appear to have some of the best specimens--do a search on "pelargonium bonsai"
