This was the procumbens that had the decomposed akadama and REALLY went bad on me.

So this morning I did what I did on my JBP and inverted the pot and took the concrete OUT! No disturbance of the tie down wiring so the juniper did not move and there was minimal disturbance.
This thread illustrates what I did to the pine.
Here's hoping it also works well. It sure drains nicely now. It is really hard (pun) to understand how that mix could decompose and set up that hard.

Save some soil on ROOTBALL.... okay...
I just took a pine with too much decomposed kakadama and TURNED IT UPSIDE DOWN !!! The junk that fell out got GOOD soil put back in. Tree remained wired in pot. MINIMAL root disturbance. :D Had to do ....some... "poking" but it fell out. Drainage now EXCELLENT !! 😍
