Much deadwood work needs to be done also. Mainly reducing the large stumps that remain, particularly the vertical one behind the first branch and the one near the apex.

You were certainly bold in reducing the foliage. I like the shape, if the branches fill out nicely. I might be tempted to lean the tree a few degrees to the left (and readjust the apex appropriately). There are two pieces of, what I assume, will become deadwood that look as if they are in conflict (the upright and the one in the rear). Other than that it is very pleasing.

The final positioning of the tree is not yet set in stone. Although if it is going anywhere, it is going to the left :)

I made one to bend a juniper branch up for about $24. I orderd the alternator bracket online after visiting a few auto parts places. It was shipped reasonalby fast.
